Who We Are…

In 1975 the Hmong escaped from the mountains of Laos and other surrounding areas. Some of those who survived the war made their way to America for a second chance at life. With minimal knowledge of the new country they were about to call home, the Hmong learned to assimilate into American culture.

Today, more than 30 years later, the Hmong have grown into a booming and successful people. They are one of the fastest growing minority groups in the United States. The Hmong have become an
integral part of American society. They own homes. Many own businesses. They provide vital services to families through non-profit organizations and engage in the educational, law enforcement, and healthcare systems. They are active members of the workforce.
